How’s it going everybody, Adrian Simple here from thegamingobserver.com and welcome to your to the Sunday Variety Show, February 9, 2020. My friends, today we’re going to be talking about something very exciting, I’m going to be doing my first ever giveaway here on the show. Let’s talk about it.

Alright folks I hope you will forgive me for diverting from video games topics today, but I think you will find this very interesting. So if you don’t know, up until this point I have had a few sponsorship and advertisement opportunities, and I have turned them down. I just feel like I care too much about preserving what makes this show so great, and I didn’t want to have it interrupted by advertisements, especially if its in your morning routine. Now I had lots of people say that I actually should have done them, and I’m glad I didn, but I know that I’m going to have to monetize this show somehow in the future, and sponsorships are potentially one of those ways.

So then a man by the name of Armel came up to me and he said “hey, I know you won’t take money for a sponsorship, but what if we gave away some games to your listeners so that t hey get something out of it.” And I thought about it, and I thought hey…that’s actually not a bad idea. Not only will it let me experiment with the idea of a sponsorship, but also with giveaways, which is also something I’ve wanted to do in the future. So I said okay, let’s do it. So here’s the deal.

Out of everybody who enters the giveaway, there are going to be two winners. Each person will get the opportunity to win $50 worth of games, of their choice. It could multiple games added up to $50, or a single game at the $50 price tag. Either way, those prizes are being sponsored by a company called Trebble FM. And I hope you believe me when I say that I will never have sponsors on this show that I don’t think will bring you some benefit. That’s something that I care a lot about. And certainly, Trebble FM could absolutely be something that you will enjoy. And so what it is, is its an app that provides a whole bunch of flash briefings, or shortcasts, if you will, and makes them easy to listen to. Just like my show, you can find other flash briefings on topics you might interested in, which is awesome, as I’m sure you know it is hard to find other briefings, so Trebble is a great resource for that. Another big thing is that Trebble makes it easy to listen to these shows on the go, maybe while you are commuting or at work, so you don’t have to talk into your device to access the flash briefing, you can just open the app and start playing all the shows you are subscribed to. In terms of The Gaming Observer, this would be really handy if you’re running late or something in the morning, and you still want to hear the show but aren’t able to stick around the device. Here’s another one that I like, Trebble will remember what you’ve already listened to. So instead of having to skip through things you may already heard, it will do that automatically for you. I know that’s going to be helpful for me because I have a lot of flash briefings and I hate having to skip through if its not updated. Anyway, I think it’s a really cool idea, lots of people call it the Spotify of flash briefings, and I’m happy to have them sponsoring this giveaway.

Now, to enter the giveaway, all you have to do is go to thegamingobserver.com/giveaway. There’s also a link in big red letters on the main page of the site as well. All the details are there, but essentially all you’ll have to do is sign up and download the Trebble FM app with the link from the website. If you do that, you’ll be entered, and we’ll be doing a live draw for the winners in just under two weeks on Saturday, February the 22nd. I’m not sure where it is going to go live yet, but I’ll definitely let you know when we get closer. So make sure you do that thegamingobserver.com/giveaway, you can win up to $50 worth of video games, any games you’d like, I think it’s a great opportunity.

I’d like to say thank you for letting me try this out, I know its different but I’m trying really hard to be as transparent and generous as I can, and this is something new, so any feedback you’d like to give is very much appreciated. Once again, thank you for tuning in, thank you to Trebble for sponsoring the giveaway, and I’ll be back tomorrow with the gaming news that you are used to. Until then, happy gaming everyone.
