How’s it going everybody! Katosepe here from thegamingobserver.com. Adrian is out today so I’ll be covering for him. Let’s get right on into it, shall we?

Persona 5 Royal has finally gotten an official release date! The original Persona 5 came out for the Playstation 4 back in 2017 for western fans and in typical Persona fashion, it will be getting an enhanced version with a decent amount of additional content. Three new characters with one joining your party, a third school term, new items, shadows, and additional story content all fleshing out the already famously long JRPG. Persona 5 Royal will be coming to the west on March 31st, 2020. So for the record, March 2020 will see the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Watch Dogs Legions, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Doom Eternal, Nioh 2, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2, Half-Life Alyx and now Persona 5 Royal. Hope you didn’t have plans.

Valve had a bit of a goof during the Steam Sale which is proving a large disappointment for some. After recently announcing the discontinuation of their Steam Controller back in late November, people noticed the controller was on sale for only 5 US dollars and collectors started swooping in. Unfortunately, many wound up receiving refund notices as Valve announced that they had accepted more orders than they could fulfill and that there were no plans to make more Steam Controllers. Thus, this seems to mark a sad end for this strange and fascinating controller. If you wanted one, hopefully you were one of the lucky few who got through!

Horror fans woke up to a treat this morning as Resident Evil 3 Remake images were leaked onto the net. While Resident Evil 3 Remake hasn’t been officially announced, this comes as no surprise after the huge success that Resident Evil 2 saw at the beginning of this year. It was really only a matter of when but that time may be coming sooner than fans expected. The cover art shows new looks for series mainstay Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira as well as the foreboding Nemesis that chases the player throughout the original game. Many are predicting a full announcement to come during The Game Awards next Friday so check that out if you’re looking forward to more Resident Evil.

That’s all for today, my friends! Adrian will be back tomorrow so stay tuned. As always, archives and transcripts are available on thegamingobserver.com. Adrian’s also on Twitter @gaming_observer so go say hello. Happy gaming, everyone!
