Transcript:

How’s it going everybody, Adrian Simple here from The Gaming Observer, and this is your Daily Gaming Update for June 11th, 2019.

Alright, so obviously we are in the midst of E3, so I’m going to be giving you some of the highlights of today’s PC Gaming and Ubisoft conferences. That being said this won’t come anywhere close to the amount of information that will be out there, so keep an eye out for an Observer Radio show for coverage on all conferences with timestamps so you can listen to what you’re most interested in.

The PCGaming show didn’t have any major news, but inundated you with new announcements. Here are some of the interesting ones. Chivalry Medieval Warfare 2 was announced, which will be interesting to see compete Mordhau, which what was considered the spiritual successor to the first one. A game called Midnight Ghost Hunt was announced, which is an assymentrical multiplayer hide and seek game, made by a single person. A new Age of Wonders is coming up, called Planetfall, which is a 4X strategy game. The newest title from Klei, developers of Don’t Starve, was announced, called Griftlands. It is a roguelike deckbuilding game, which the cards coming into play through both combat and negotiation. The people who made Planet Coaster are now making Planet Zoo, so you’ve got a new tycoon game there. The chinese developer of Dota Auto Chess came out and announced that they are debuting on the Epic Games Store when they go independant, which I thought was hilarious. There’s a follow up to Her Story coming, called Telling Lies, which I’m sure will be fantastic. And finally, if you’re interested in more info from Vampire Masquerade Bloodines 2, Borderlands 3, or Baldur’s Gate III, they gave some more information that you can look into.

So while the PCGaming show may have been lots of titles with not a lot of depth, Ubisoft was the opposite. They started off strong with the announcement of Watch Dogs Legion. It’s set in London, and the main selling feature is that you can play as any character in the game by recruiting them to your faction. Lots of people loved seeing an old lady character being the main character, running around and hacking things. That’s coming March 6th. They also announced Rainbow Six Quarantine, which is a 3-player PvE shooter, which seems to be somewhat apoctalyptic. Uplay+ was announced, which is a $15/month subscription to all of their games, including the latest AAA ones, AND that subscription will be available on Google Stadia, which is interesting to say the least.

There is WAY more interesting things that have happened, but unfortunately we’re out of time. That’s the all news for today. Thank you so so much for tuning in, and thanks to Brandon for supporting the show through Patreon. My name is Adrian Simple, see you tomorrow, and Happy Gaming everyone!
