Games released July 1-7, 2019

How’s it going everybody, Adrian Simple here from The Gaming Observer. It is Sunday July 7th, 2019, and today we’re gonna switch things up a little bit. I’m going to cover some of the games that came out in the last 7 days, telling you how they were received and whether or not you might be interested in taking a look at it. for links and a transcript.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers

Probably the biggest release from the last week was the expansion for Final Fantasy XIV called “Shadowbringers”. A lot of people are calling it their favourite one so far, or at least on par with the rest of them. Full reviews haven’t been able to get out yet because getting through MMO content like this takes time, but it’s only been positive. If you’ve never played the game before, but might be interested in getting into an MMO again, people say that it’s really beginner friendly, so don’t shy away.

Sea of Solitude

Sea of Solitude came out on the 5th to unfortuantely mixed reviews. It looks absolutely marvelous, and that’s what most people are saying is best about it, alongside the storytelling. But there are quite a few people that found the moment-to-moment gameplay a slog to get through. That being said, nearly everyone commends it for it’s attempt at exploring loneliness, and if you don’t mind gameplay as much as you do story, then this might be for you. $25 ish on EA platforms

Stranger Things 3: The Game

The third season of Netflix series Stranger Things came out, which my partner binged in a day, and alongside it was a video game. There are also not a lot of reviews for this one because copies weren’t sent out in advance. It doesn’t seem to be all that popular though, it’s all-time peak players on Steam is 73. This surprises me to be honest, unless there is something I don’t know about it. It could be the price tag, it’s about $20 for a TV show companian. Nonetheless, it looks cute, and fans of the show seem to enjoy it.

Apex Legends: Season 2

The second season of Apex Legends kicked off on the 2nd. The in-game world is slowly changing, like Fortnite likes to do with its seasons. People seem to be happy with the changes – they introduced a ranked mode, revamped some things, and I guess are hoping to turn the tide from their first season dissapointment.

And here’s just a quick list of extra stuff. Just Cause 4 got a new DLC. Red Faction: Guerilla Remastered and What Remains of Edith Finch were ported to the Switch. They Are Billions was ported to the Xbox One

Ok, those are the biggest games released since July 1st, I hope you liked this idea I had. My name is Adrian Simple, I’ll be back tomorrow with some more news, and until next time, happy gaming everyone.
