New trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake

Hello hello, it’s been a long time, which is to say about a week or so. I just wanted to check in and explain what’s going on with me first. I am officially off of school, and I am alone in my house for the next 5 weeks, which means I will be working very hard on the Observer, so expect to see a lot more development from me. For those of you listening on Amazon devices, I am currently developing a brand new skill which is not a Flash Briefing template. So expect at some point to have to reenable this show on your device under a new skill. I’m also working on making myself available on the Google Home. A special thanks to Katosepe for covering my audio while I was away, you can check him out over at videogameoftheday.com. Let’s look at some recent news shall we?

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint announced

Square Enix has shown off a brand new trailer for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which has been in the public sphere since 2015. It was mostly cinematic, but showed off some beautiful new graphics, and a tease that more info is coming in June. This one has had quite the interesting development cycle, having changed teams at least once. Nonethless, it looks like we’re on the brink of finally seeing it released.

SEGA acquires Two Point Studios

Ubisoft has revealed a new Ghost Recon game called Breakpoint, which is a follow up to the 2017 Wildlands. There’s some gameplay you can check out and lots of story. It will be available on October 4th, and on PC will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store, which isn’t a huge surprise with Ubisoft behind it.

Edmund McMillan updates on all his games

SEGA has officially acquired Two Point Studios, who are famously known for Two Point Hospital. They will be joining the subsidiary ranks of Endless Space developers Amplitude Studios, and Total War developer Creative Assembly.

We have some updates from Binding of Isaac developer Edmund McMillen. He will be releasing his newest game The Legend of Bum-bo in Q3 this year, and the final expansion to Isaac in Q4. He’s also working on an expansion to his board game Four Souls, and development has resumed on the previously Mewgenics. I’m a big fan of McMillen, I heavily encourage you to check out his games if you haven’t played them before.

Okay, that’s your Daily Gaming Update thank you so much for tuning in! As always I want to also thank Brandon, who supports the show through Patreon. I am Adrian Simple, see you tomorrow, and Happy Gaming everyone!
