How’s it going everybody, Adrian Simple here from thegamingobserver.com and welcome to your daily gaming update for Tuesday, December 10th. We’ve got lots to get into here today so let’s jump right in.

2K announced Cloud Chamber, new studio making BioShock

2K has announced a brand new studio called Cloud Chamber, who are currently working on a new BioShock game. It has two locations, one in Novato California, the other in Montreal, Quebec, which means 2K’s first Canadian studio, as well as first in their history to be led by a woman. Kelley Gilmore is a 22-year veteran of the industry, most of which was spent working on Civilization at Firaxis. Cloud Chamber was specifically built for this project, with the last Bioshock game coming out in 2014. Many have noted the absence of series creator Ken Levine, who is highly regarded for his work on the games. Nonetheless, I hope that they will be able to deliver on such high expectations, when we see the game in a few years.

Playstation cross-play for Minecraft now available

Minecraft will officially support cross-platform play on Playstation today. The Bedrock version of the game now offers full crossplay between Xbox, Playstation, Switch, Windows, mobile, and Gear VR. Current PlayStation owners will be automatically provided the new version of the game, though the old version will still be playable if you so choose, you just won’t have cross-play. You will need an Xbox login, but you will still earn trophies instead of achievements. This is a long time coming, and I look forward to even more opportunities in cross-play.

GoG Galaxy 2.0 now available to everyone

For my PC players, GOG Galaxy 2.0 is now in open beta, which means everybody has access. This is a game launcher which combines all of the game launchers, so you can see your entire game library in one program. You can also manually add any physical or DRM-free games that you own. This client also connects your friends lists, achievement tracking, and game time. It’s also got plenty of customization options. If it sounds like I’m singing its praises that’s because I am, I’ve been using it for probably 6 months now and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for, so definitely give it a shot gogalaxy.com.

Humble Monthly becomes Humble Choice

The Humble Monthly bundle has now rebranded to Humble Choice. If you don’t remember they will now present 10 games every month. For $15/month, you can choose 3 of the 10 games to keep, and for $20/month, 9 of them. If you were a former $12/month Humble Monthly subscriber, then you are grandfathered into this system at that pricepoint and you get all 10 games. That being said, this month has two headliners in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Blasphemous, and the rest I haven’t really heard all that much about. To be honest, it doesn’t seem like a strong start for the new service.

New from me: the TGO After-Show!

Ok everyone I have a really exciting announcement to make. Over the last year many of you have been asking for more content from me, or even for this show to be longer. I had trouble doing that though, because I know many people don’t have the time to listen to more. Well, I think I’ve figured something out. I’m going to be introducing a new daily show called the TGO After-Show. It’s going to be unscripted, not any longer than this one, and I’m basically just going to talk about whatever is on my mind. It could be me talking more about a certain news story, it could a discussion of the games I’m playing, or anything else we’ll see what it shapes into. But the best part is that all you have to do to listen is go to the Flash Briefing settings of the Alexa app, scroll to the bottom, and enable it, it’ll be right there. No need for searching, and it’ll fit right in to your routine. This is a totally optional show if you have the time to listen, because I find myself wanting to talk about more things but not wanting to intrude on the time of this show. Go give it a look, and thank you very much for your support. As you know, I am here every Monday-Friday with the news, so I’ll be back tomorrow and until then…Happy Gaming Everyone.

That is all for today, thank you very much for tuning in, and I’d also like to thank Wesley, Dr Nario, and anonymous user all for leaving me 5-star reviews on Amazon, thank you very much. As you know I am here every Monday-Friday with the news, which means I’ll be back tomorrow and until then….Happy Gaming Everyone.
