Holidays sales and Adrian’s plans for next week!

Main Show:

How’s it going everybody, Adrian Simple here from and welcome to your daily gaming update for Friday, December 20th. To be honest today will be short on news, but I also want to talk about my plans for next week so that you know what’s going on.

Alright so of course the holiday season is upon us, which means that all of the storefronts are having their major sales. The most important one that you should have your eye on is the Epic Games Store. First of all, every day for the next 12 days they are giving away a free game. Now because of the recording delay of this show, I can’t be there to remind you, so you’ll have to log in on your own. They started with Into The Breach on day 1, and it looks like they’re teasing the next one to be Towerfall Ascension. Even better though, is that they are doing that $10 coupon thing again, where developers set the sale they want, and Epic adds on a free $10 of their own, and that’s for any game over $15. So with that, you can actually get some pretty big games for a discount you probably won’t see for a while. Of course other than Epic, Steam is doing their annual Winter sale, where you can earn festivity tokens which can be traded out for various things, as usual. Also, I always like to recommend the sales, of course DRM-free games are very important and they do a lot of great work, so perhaps consider throwing some money that way. And it’s easier than ever, with GOG Galaxy 2.0, which combines all of your game launchers, so it doesn’t even matter where you buy it.

Alright folks so next week is the week of Hanukkah and Christmas, which means I’ll be visiting home for 5-6 days. Essentially that’s Tuesday through Saturday of next week. For you long-time listeners, you’ll know that my track record when it comes to recording in my hometown is quite bad, but I’m going to do my best. Nonetheless, do not be surprised if I have to take the entirety of next week off. Katosepe might be able to fill in for me on a few days, and I’ll definitely have some prerecorded messages for any new listeners that come as a result of the gift giving traditions. Either way, I just wanted to apologize in advance if I don’t have content up. Not to mention a lot of the news outlets will also be taking holiday, so there probably won’t even be that much news to speak of. I mean you can already tell, there was barely anything for today. So if this is the last news show I do for a while, then I hope you have a tremendous holiday, and I’ll see you soon.

I want to thank you very much for tuning in, you are all amazing people. I’ll be back tomorrow with the listener interaction day, I’ve got lots of messages from you guys to go over, and I’ll see you in the aftershow, until then….Happy Gaming Everyone.
